Bolsover District Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour and Enforcement Team joined forces with Derbyshire Constabulary and colleagues from North East Derbyshire District Council in a crackdown on suspected environmental crime.
The partner agencies worked together in Tibshelf to ensure that people carrying waste have the correct licences and paperwork to do so.
This initiative aims to reduce environmental crime, including fly-tipping, across the district.
Improvement plans for St Helen’s Church in Pinxton are moving forward as part of Bolsover District Council’s Regeneration projects.
The building will be transformed into a vibrant community hub which will see a flexible multi-use hall, meeting space, activity space, kitchen and café style facilities, office and administration space, outdoor seating, external landscaping and outdoor spaces created for the local community.
It is hoped the newly refurbished building will provide a central point for residents with the hub catering for everything from coffee mornings to fitness sessions and play groups to family celebrations.

We have seen runners, walkers and cyclists all take on and enjoy different parts of the loop. There was even a netwalking event on the Friday with representatives from Walk Derbyshire, Jog Derbyshire, Bolsover Community and Voluntary Service, Bolsover Woodlands and Bolsover District Council coming together to enjoy a chat and the Pleasley stretch of the loop.
