Everyone’s aware we need to give nature a hand; so, to celebrate ‘No Mow May’, Bolsover District Council is extending their trial of relaxing mowing on several recreation sites around the district.

Inspired by the success of the initial trial of introducing a relaxed mowing regime at The Queen’s Orchard’ at the Council’s headquarters in Clowne, where there has been a reemergence of bee orchids and other wildflowers attract an abundance of invertebrates, particularly pollinators such as bees and butterflies, the Council want to do more to help the environment.

Private landlords across Bolsover District are being encouraged to take part in a new survey to help shape future support, advice and partnership working with the Council.

The survey aims to better understand landlords’ experiences, future plans and views on the changing private rented sector, including the introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act from May 2026.
