A Doe Lea man has paid £780 after being found to have allowed effluent to be pumped into a farmer’s field.
Martin Groves pleaded guilty at Magistrates Court and was given a reduced fine as a result.
Bolsover Distrct Council Environmental Health Officers and Community Enforcement Rangers attended the property after concerns were raised of the illegal disposal of a cesspool into a farmer’s field. They investigated the smell and discovered a hidden pipe that was being used to pump the sewage.
