The Stonegravels Household Waste Recycling centre in Chesterfield will be closed from 8 to 13 December.

Whilst this might not directly affect Bolsover District residents, the closure may cause an increase in use of the other Household Waste Recycling centres.

A business owner in Shirebrook has paid a £300 fixed penalty notice for failing to provide documentation to prove they dispose of their waste correctly.

An Environmental Health Enforcement Officer visited the business after receiving a complaint that they were using a bin belonging to another premises. The owner was unable to provide documentation in relation to the disposal of their waste after being served with a legal notice to produce it, and were therefore issued with a fixed penalty notice.
