 We are holding four engagement sessions across the district for you to discuss Local Government Reorganisation plans in person.
Local Government is changing and we want to hear from you. We, alongside the other district and borough councils in Derbyshire, and Derby City Council, have launched a consultation to allow residents to have their say on the plans for reorganisation. You can complete that consulation online - or you can join us for one of our in-person sessions to discuss the plans with Council Leader Councillor Jane Yates and Chief Executive Karen Hanson
A Bolsover resident has paid a £300 fixed penalty notice for fly tipping. Evidence was found in waste on land off Oxcroft Lane and passed to Environmental Health to investigate.
An Enforcement Officer traced the waste to the individual responsible, who paid the fixed penalty to avoid prosecution.

The site provides a space for groups to promote their projects and events and create a powerful sense of collective endeavour.

At the beginning of July 2025, Bolsover Partnerships held its annual general meeting, held at the Frasers Group HQ in Shirebrook.
This was an opportunity to summarise the partnerships work, achievements and challenges of the last year and discuss future directions.

As flooding is becoming an increasing risk, it is important that communities have the support and capability needed to increase their resilience for future events. One way to help achieve this is with the Flood Warden Scheme.
This is a voluntary, community-owned scheme, supported by the Environment Agency (EA) and Derbyshire County Council on behalf of the Derbyshire Resilience Partnership, whereby active members of the community play the vital role of Flood Warden.
