Hardwick Hall is world famous for its collection of tapestries and the Gideon tapestries hold the record of being the longest restoration project in the National Trust's history.
The tapestries normally have portraits in front of them but Hardwick Hall is currently holding an event called Material Power, meaning they are unobstructed. This means visitors can see the full glory of the artwork on display.
We went to find out how the textile collection at Hardwick Hall tells us who Bess of Hardwick was.

Bolsover District is home to several major tourist attractions and is an ideal base to explore both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. And this tourism boom has seen several accommodation outlets springing up.
