 Bolsover District Council is dedicated to helping the environment and reducing the organisation’s carbon footprint. So much so, that in the last few weeks a new Carbon Reduction Officer has started working for the authority.
We went to meet him to find out his plans for the council.

This event highlights the numerous benefits of going car-free, including reduced air pollution and the promotion of walking and cycling in a safer environment.
Car-free days are an opportunity to highlight the negative impact of using cars. These include congested roads, difficulties for other road users and polluted air.

Our district is awash with fantastic trails, from easy going low level walks to nature reserves and woodland that take in some breathtaking scenery and countryside - and it's all on your doorstep.
The trails are suitable for all ages and abilities and allow you to explore the countryside by foot, bicycle or horse, with many of them following disused railway lines.Â
