On this week's episode:
- A new Community Woodlands Officer has been appointed at the council
- An action packed and fun-filled two-day gala is to be staged in South Normanton
- Time is running out for people to sign up to the council's exclusive Household Membership
- A mining exhibition and play in Clowne is set to take you back in time
- And we take to the skies again as we show you some of our beautiful and historic churches
The first phase of our Shirebrook Market Place RE:Imagined project will start on site on Monday 1 July 2024.
The project will see the creation of new, attractive memorial gardens to complement the magnificent mining memorial that was unveiled in May 2023.
Not only will the memorial gardens improve the design quality of the town centre, they are intended to provide a contemplative space for people visiting the memorial and also a pleasant spot for workers and shoppers to take their lunch.

A resident from Mansfield Woodhouse has paid a £200 fixed penalty notice for breach of their Householder Duty of Care to ensure their waste is passed to an authorised person.
We were informed of some fly-tipped waste on Wood Lane, Shirebrook, and upon investigation our enforcement officers found evidence linked to the person's property. They were issued with a fixed penalty notice.

Our enforcement team attended Shetland Road Recreation Ground in Tibshelf recently with a local PCSO to ensure the dog management related Public Spaces Protection Order was being complied with.
Our warden and the PCSO spoke to dog walkers and users of the park about the rules and the recently installed signage.
Thankfully, no offences were witnessed and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves (as well as the dogs) and respecting the rules.
When visiting parks, open spaces and public land, please pay attention to the signage to make sure you are aware of the requirements.

Bolsover TV has recently visited a community hub that is thriving and helping the residents of a local village.
The New Houghton Community Hub is a charity run organisation that aims to engage with its local communities through activities and support for local families and older people who are in danger of becoming isolated.
With bubbly manager Gemma Stevenson, a band of willing volunteers and the Church at its heart, our reporter Charlotte Ellis takes up the story.

Regular viewers of Bolsover TV may remember that in January 2023, they broke the news that the ground at Langwith Cricket Club had been infested by Chafer Grubs, which caused extensive damage to their outfield.
But, fast forward 16-months and the ground has been lovingly repaired, thanks to donors and sponsors and the club has started to develop the ground as Bolsover TV found out when they visited them.
