Nuisance vehicles are causing issues across Bolsover District, and together with Derbyshire Constabulary, we have decided enough is enough.

Problems with speeding cars, off road bikes/quads, car racing, music being played from cars and excessive revving have led to us and the Police wanting to introduce a Vehicle Nuisance Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) across Bolsover District.

From December 2022 to May 2023, 201 calls were received relating to nuisance vehicles, with problem hot spots centred around Shirebrook, Bolsover and Shuttlewood and South Normanton and Pinxton.

We are working in partnership with Old Bolsover Town Council, Pinxton Parish Council and Brockley Primary School to bring a fun packed summer of activities for children aged 5-14 years.

Sessions will take place in Bolsover, Pinxton and Shuttlewood and the dates times and venues can be found via the booking form.

Activities on offer are:

• Traditional sports and games including football, dodgeball and cricket
• Crazy golf
• Climbing Wall
• Trips to Pleasley Vale Outdoor Activity Centre
• Children will also have the opportunity to make their own healthy lunches.

Pleasley Pit

An action packed day to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Pit. There will be loads of fun family entertainment on offer and both winsing wheels will be in operation. There is a confirmed fly past of the Lancaster Bomber and refreshments will be available from the cafe.
