- a local charity is asking people to Walk a Mile to help raise awareness of people living in poverty.
The jury in the case for Ken and Freda Walker who were attacked in their Langwith Junction home on 14 January 2022 has returned a verdict.
After just two hours and 15 minutes, they found Vasile Culea, (34) guilty of murdering Freda and guilty of causing Ken grievous bodily harm with intent.

On Friday 25 November 2022 a local charity is asking people to walk a mile in a pair of shoes they would not normally wear to help raise awareness of poverty.
The Freedom Project based in Bolsover are asking people to have fun and be creative by wearing shoes like flippers, slippers, high heels or add shoes to help people understand the struggles of those facing poverty.
