Did you know you can recycle your take away pizza boxes?
We accept used pizza boxes in our burgundy recycling bins as long as you remove any leftover food from them first. It's OK if there is some grease left behind, just no big lumps of food.

This week's suggestion for one thing you can do differently to live in a more environmentally friendly way is to take companies up on the offer of offsetting your carbon.
Lots of different companies offer this service (energy companies in particular) and it does usually cost you extra but if you can afford to pay the saving to the planet could be huge. So why not have a look next time and see if you can do a little extra to reduce your carbon footprint.

We hear a lot about carbon footprints but it's not always easy to know what our impact on the environment actually is.
To get a better idea of the impact your lifestyle has and to find out how to reduce it take a look at the WWF footprint calculator.
This will give you your number and tell you if you are above or below the national average. The results are split into four categories with hint and tips on how to improve each one.
