In this week's episode of Bolsover TV:
- Councillor Duncan McGregor tells us how grant funding will help to improve the planning application process
- The council is offering a free reminder service to residents who forget to put out their bins
- The communities of Langwith and Whaley Thorns are set to light up Poulter Country Park as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations
- A group of willing volunteers and three businesses from Whitwell have shown their caring side as they repair a local beauty spot
- And a Forest School in Whitwell has become Pen Pals with a school in the USA
Just a reminder, we are re-iterating our statement that the Council Tax Rebate payment of £150 will be paid to eligible households by September 2022.
There are a number of reasons for this, including:
- We are awaiting updates from the software providers to be able to make the payment
- We need to undertake specific checks for Direct Debit payers to make sure their bank details are correct.

In partnership with GetComposting.com, we are offering discounted compost bins for residents this spring, helping us all have greener gardens.
Composting has countless benefits, and now is the perfect time to get started! The process simply involves recycling your daily plant and food waste, along with any other organic materials you can find.
This can include grass cuttings, unwanted plants, organic kitchen waste such as fruit and vegetable peelings, tea bags and coffee grounds.

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new Clowne Hub, in partnership with the Chesterfield FC's Spireites Trust.
Located to expand the academy’s reach, the opening of this new Hub gives the club an opportunity to broaden its horizons, reaching more up-and-coming talents from ages 16 to 18. It is a very exciting time for the club, with more chances to recruit players into our ever-growing academy.
