Earth Day is an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
This year's theme is Invest In Our Planet and focuses on the importance of organisations, businesses, individuals and communities working together to tackle climate change.
The Bolsover Countryside Partnership has just completed eight kilometres of new trails in and around Pleasley.
The project cost £650,000 and is the culmination of three year's work. The project us part of a bigger Visit.Sleep.Cycle.Repeat programme aimed at attracting more people to the area who will stay for short breaks.
The trails are multi user meaning they are accessible for walkers, runners, cyclists, prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs.

If you can't manage without your coffee pod coffee in the morning then have a look and see if your brand of coffee maker has compostable pods available. That way you have all the benefits of coffee pods and you can use the used pods in the garden.
