Girl Can - A series of
events are being held culminating in a big party across the city to coincide
with International
Women’s Day on 8 March.
Join this year’s St Patrick’s Day festivities on
15 March in Digbeth. The theme this year
is the Irish contribution to Birmingham.
Flatpack Film Fest returns to Brum from 19 - 29 March. A mixture of films,
performances, contraptions and surprises, described as “magnificently eclectic”
(Time Out), “joyously inventive” (the Guardian) and “the UK’s most creatively
curated film festival” (the Independent).
Drop of Life - 21 March, Symphony Hall. A Concert for WaterAid featuring choirs from the BBC television series ‘The Choir’ including those from Severn Trent Water and Birmingham City Council.

The Big Hoot An exciting mass-participation public art event, set to take Birmingham by storm in summer 2015. Presented by Wild in Art and Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Council’s Business Plan 2015+. City services need to change radically to achieve the council’s aim of creating a fairer, more prosperous and more democratic city with a drastically reduced budget. The plan will be finalised following full council on 3 March.

matters. You
won’t have a say on who is running the country or Birmingham on 7 May if you
aren’t on the electoral register! Sign up now – it’s also important for your
credit rating.
Birmingham City Council wants to know what people think
of local democracy, how it is, and how it should be, as part of its Community Governance Review.

Brompton Bikes for Hire. The ingenious Brompton
folding bike hire scheme is expanding! To add to the 20 bikes already for hire
from a ‘Brompton dock’ outside Moor Street Station, two new docks are due to be launched in March on New Street and Colmore Row.
Paradise
redevelopment
work has begun. While these major improvements are taking place there will be
some disruption to roads. Plan your journey – use public transport, walk or

Birmingham
Exchanging Places. We all want to get around safely – this means
sharing the roads responsibly. Birmingham Exchanging Places events allow
drivers and cyclists to experience travelling from each other’s perspective.
