News
Medals for March’s IAAF World Indoor Championships Birmingham 2018
have been unveiled. Students at Birmingham City University’s School of
Jewellery were challenged to design
the medals, with second year silversmith and jewellery student Menna
Jones producing the winning design.
‘Fighting For Air’ – a BBC2 documentary
shown on 10 Jan – included an experiment in Kings Heath to see if people could
work together to improve air quality in a single day. Catch up with the

and find out how you can play your part in tackling the
city’s air pollution.
Is
your new year’s resolution to get fit and active? If you live near to east
Birmingham there’s a great incentive with the opening of the brand
new Stechford Leisure Centre on Station Road.
Work
to improve Sutton Coldfield Library is set to start on 15 January. Once complete library visitors will also be provided with a café and play area for pre-school children.

that the festive season has drawn to a close? You can recycle
it free of charge at one of four parks in the city between now and 28
January.
