A survey is being carried out with local businesses and public/community organisations, to better understand transport needs with a particular focus on public transport and the Nottsbus On Demand service.
Researchers at the University of the West of England and the University of Leeds, are working with the East Midlands Combined County Authority on the survey and you can find out more about our project at DRT Connecting
They are keen to get the views of a diverse range of businesses and organisations. The findings will be shared with the East Midlands Combined County Authority and used to inform its policies and planning. The findings will also be shared with national policy makers and interest groups.
If you have a role as a decision maker within your organisation or knowledge of transport issues that affect your organisation, they would very much welcome your participation in the survey.
Please note the survey closes on 15 July 2026.

People across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire are being invited to share their views on fusion energy in a short new survey.
The survey, which takes around five minutes to complete, is all about understanding what local people already know about fusion - and what they’d like to know more about. It’s being carried out by the STEP Fusion Skills Collaborative, a partnership of public sector stakeholders from across the region including local councils.
Your answers will help shape how information is shared with local communities in the future, making sure it’s clear, useful and relevant.
The survey is anonymous and includes a mix of tick-box and open questions, so you can easily take part and share your thoughts in your own words. There’s also a simple postcode question to help understand responses across the region.
Help shape the conversation and guide future local engagement on fusion, we’d love to hear from you.
