We’d like to say thank you for your patience and understanding over the last three months while our collections of Garden Waste faced a combination of unexpected challenges.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again apologise for the disruption you experienced. We understand how frustrating a missed or delayed collection can be.
We are happy to report that our service is now back to normal following a concerted effort by our crews to catch up on all delayed collections. We have also put additional resources in place to prevent any significant delays for the rest of the year.
As a way of a further apology, we will be providing an extra collection of Garden Waste at the end of the season. This will take place between the weeks of 30th November and 11th December. Please leave your bin out on your normal collection day.

You can do this by emailing waste.management@bassetlaw.gov.uk, by calling 01909 533 533 or by using our new ‘Binformation’ App.
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play, with a desktop version also available via the council’s website www.bassetlaw.gov.uk. It provides information on all your bin collections days, how you can recycle more of your waste, sign up for alerts, and report any issues.
