Pride in Place High Street Support Tender

Bassetlaw District Council wishes to invite tenders to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to deliver the provision of a high street business support programme in Worksop.

Bassetlaw has been awarded Pride in Place funding which has been made available from the 1st April 2026 until the 31st March 2028.

The Worksop Together Board has allocated £80,000 of funding to commission a third party to deliver a high street business support programme to assist businesses located on our high street in Worksop.

Exciting new phase for Priory Centre

The redevelopment of the Priory Centre in Worksop has reached a significant new phase with the large-scale demolition now in progress.

A section of the Priory Centre, which formed part of the original Netherholme Shopping Centre and dates back to the late 1960s, will be removed so that a new building can be constructed that will host an exciting mix of leisure, entertainment, and dining facilities.

Appointment of ILIOS accelerates delivery of STEP Fusion at West Burton

UK Industrial Fusion Solutions, soon to be known as UK Fusion Energy will appoint ILIOS as the Construction Partner for the STEP Fusion programme. The contract, valued at £200m, is a major milestone in transforming the West Burton site into the UK’s world-leading prototype fusion energy plant.

£20million regeneration plan for Worksop approved

A £20million plan to regenerate Worksop Town Centre and some surrounding areas has been given the go ahead by the Government.

The Vision and Regeneration Plan, put together by the Worksop Together Board in partnership with Bassetlaw District Council, has been approved by the Government with the funding being delivered over a 10-year period, starting next month.
