Last week we marked the Fusion Energy Café, at The Bridge Skills Hub in Worksop, turning 1, celebrating its role as a hub for learning and engagement around fusion energy, and it work it delivers and supports through its community work.
Local stakeholders, community members and the STEP Board were all in attendance for an open exhibition, presentations and informal discussions about the plans for West Burton and how fusion energy could transform the UK’s energy future.
The Fusion Energy Café was developed to directly engage with local people in the field of fusion, and in particular the prototype fusion powerplant and STEP Fusion programme at West Burton.
The café also serves as a base for community organisations and businesses in the local area to come together, and a space to deliver outreach events throughout the year.
If you wish to enquire about booking out the café for your community organisation or business, please get in touch today at fusionenergycafe@bassetlaw.gov.uk
