Tenant Engagement getting around the District
On Tuesday 25th February we held a monthly tenant meeting at The Grove Methodist Church in Retford. The event was well attended and gave tenants the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, who discussed issues with accessing IT and public transport.
Our next Tenant Meeting will be held on Friday 25th April at Worksop Town Hall, between 10:30am – 12:00noon.

Coming soon: new repairs portal
We’re launching a new way for you to report non-emergency repairs to us, giving far more options than currently available.
As well as being able to self-diagnose a problem, once you sign up to the online reporting service, you can pick a timeslot for your appointment, chase up a repair, or see a summary of work completed.
Once the new repairs portal is up and running, you'll be able to find it on the Repairs and Home Improvements section of our website.
It won’t be replacing our phone service, you can still ring up if you need to, and the same number is also used to report emergency repairs.
Call Bassetlaw District Council Housing’s Contact Centre on 0800 590 542 between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The same number is also used to report emergency repairs outside these hours.
For Emergency Gas Repairs contact – Sureserve on 0800 083 3743 or for an emergency gas leak phone TRANSCO on 0800 111 999 immediately.
Once a repair’s been reported, we’ll offer you an appointment on a morning or afternoon basis. There are time slots available between 9.30am and 2.30pm to avoid the school run.
There’s also the option of having an out of hours appointment, these can be offered on a weekday evening (last appointment being 6.30pm) or on a Saturday morning (last appointment being 10.30am).

Healthy Neighbourhood Inspections help us to look for things that will improve your communities, such as removing graffiti, tackling overgrown gardens, and resolving parking issues.
Each area has at least one inspection per year, and they are carried out by your Housing Officer. People from other council departments, Nottinghamshire Police and other agencies may also attend, so that specific problems can be addressed.
We want tenants to be part of these inspections, even if it is just for your street or to raise an individual issue, after all it is your estate, and nobody knows it better than you.
Please join us at one of the inspections that take place over the next month:
