Election Results
The full declaration of results for the UK Parliamentary Election for the Constituencies that cover the Bassetlaw District can be found on our website.
The Bassetlaw Parliamentary Constituency saw a Labour Gain, with Jo White elected as MP.
The Newark Parliamentary Constituency, which includes the Bassetlaw District Council wards of Clayworth, Sturton, Rampton, East Markham and Tuxford & Trent saw a Conservative Hold, with Robert Jenrick re-elected as MP.
In the Bassetlaw District Council Rampton ward by election, Simon Richardson retained the seat for the Conservatives.

Worksop Pride Returns to the Old Market Square
The Team from Worksop Pride (Philip Jackson, Katie Lucas and founder Crystal Lucas) joined Council Chairman, Cllr Sue Shaw for the annual flag raising ahead of Saturday's big event, with Worksop Pride returning to the Old Market Square this weekend.
The parade assembles at Worksop train station at 11am and departs at 11:30am with the main stage show starting at 12pm in the Old Market Square.

If you live in Worksop, or own a business in the town and have been flooded in previous years, the Environment Agency will be holding the first in a series of drop-in sessions at Worksop Library on Friday 12th July, between 11am and 5pm.
They will be on hand to provide an update on some of the flood prevention actions they have planned, as well as answering any questions that people may have.
