eCommerce software has also been added to the scheme, helping businesses to sell online and reach new markets. This includes helping them to manage their inventory, take payments and gather data and insights on customers' needs.
Businesses can now access 30 different solutions from 14 leading suppliers of eCommerce, Digital Accounting and CRM software. Additionally, Help to Grow: Digital will support one-to-one advice for SMEs on how best they can adopt digital technology.

Your roadmap to Net Zero
How much energy is your business consuming? How costly is it? What steps can you undertake to reduce both?
These three questions are becoming increasingly important as the price of energy and raw materials continues to increase.
Help is at hand from East Midlands Accelerator.
As part of this time-limited project, SMEs can take advantage of a free, one-year licence to the Zellar sustainability platform, courtesy of East Midlands Chamber. A total of 400 licences (worth up to £600 each) are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis to businesses.

Tour of Britain 2022
Bassetlaw will welcome the Tour of Britain and some of the world’s top cycling teams on Thursday 8 September as they race through Nottinghamshire.
Stage Five of this prestigious race will take competitors along a 190-kilometer course which starts in West Bridgford, will pass through Bassetlaw, before ending in Mansfield.
There are lots of ways to get involved with the race through Bassetlaw from simply cheering the teams on as they pass through your village or town, or by entering one of the competitions or by creating some land art that could be seen by millions of cycling fans watching the race live on ITV.
The race will enter Bassetlaw in the south east of the district and will make its way to Retford, Worksop and out through Clumber Park. You can find the full route of the race here - The Tour of Britain | Stage Five
While this is a great opportunity for businesses, there will be rolling road closures in place throughout the afternoon which may cause some disruption. The race is likely to enter Bassetlaw at approx. 13:45 and leave at approx. 14:55.
Rolling road closures will be in place normally 15 minutes before the ETA of the first riders. Once the peloton and support vehicles have passed through, the roads will reopen. Which means a rolling road closure of around 30-45mins for some areas.
Full timings for the race are here - The Tour of Britain | Stage Five Timetable
And there’s more info on rolling road closures here - The Tour of Britain | Road closures
We don’t anticipate that this will inconvenience businesses too much and hope that it will bring more people into the town centres and villages, which will hopefully be of benefit to all businesses.

Recovery loan scheme extended for 2 years
The Recovery Loan Scheme, which originally launched in April 2021 to help businesses recovering from the pandemic, has been extended to 2024.
The maximum loan size remains at up to £2m, and the principle behind the extended scheme remains unchanged: the government will underwrite 70% of lender liabilities, at the individual borrower level, in return for a lender fee. Lenders must ensure that the benefits of the government guarantee are passed through to businesses.
Full details of the scheme are available on GOV.UK.
