Together we celebrate the brightest stars of the North Notts region, highlighting the expertise, achievements, and outstanding contribution that these businesses and individuals make to the local economy and to this amazing emerging business region as a whole.
The awards comprise of both judged and public voting categories and ensure that every eligible firm from any sector can enter and be given the opportunity to shine.
The North Notts Business Awards for 2022 opened for entries on 27th April 2022 and the deadline for completed entry submissions is 10.00pm on Friday, 1st July 2022.
The nominations for the public vote opened on Wednesday 27th April 2022 and close on Friday 13th May 2022.

12 May, online (University of Derby) Through Investors in the Environment (iiE), businesses will understand their impact, take action, and demonstrate progress through an externally verified and credible scheme.
The session breaks down the fundamentals of environmental management through a framework to help businesses: how to develop an effective environmental policy or strategy; collect the relevant data to drive efficiency and prevent environmental harm; measure and interpret carbon footprint; get staff involved and inspired; and maximise the impact of their sustainability communication.

An Introduction to the Consultation on the On-line Sales Tax and the Impact on the Non Domestic Rate
The government published on the 25th February an early-stage consultation, exploring the arguments for and against an Online Sales Tax (OST). This important seminar looks at the proposals and gives an insight to the implications for the Non Domestic Rate of such a tax.

A bit of background
East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) is leading a collaborative partnership of our region’s universities and business support agencies, to deliver business support in a number of areas, including: investing in net zero business practices; digital and e-commerce solutions; wage subsidies; and helping start-ups launch a new business or product.
The programme of support runs until the end of June 2022.

The Digital Transformation strand of East Midlands Accelerator supports businesses in a variety of areas including: developing a profitable e-commerce website; converting web visitors into leads and sales; and creating an email marketing strategy.
