Could you foster for Nottinghamshire and give a child a stable, caring home?
The County Council needs new foster carers for children in Bassetlaw and across Nottinghamshire, who need loving and stable homes.
As the number of children looked after by the council continues to increase, we need more foster carers so that we can find good homes for local children.
By becoming a foster carer, you can make a real difference to a child’s life – and your own!
We support our foster carers every step of the way and provide exceptional benefits, support and training.
Come and join us at one of our friendly information events where you can find out more about fostering with Nottinghamshire County Council.
Details of our monthly online information sessions are on our website: www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/fostering or call 0115 804 4440 if you have anything you'd like to know about fostering - we're always happy to chat and no question is too big or too small!

Bassetlaw District Council and TrailTale, an app that delivers self-guided walks via smartphone, are giving residents and visitors the opportunity to explore the Bassetlaw area in a fresh and fascinating way.
TrailTale offers a variety of walking routes for Bassetlaw that range from 0.8 to 5.9 miles and include Blyth, Retford, Tuxford, Worksop and the Idle Valley Nature Reserve. Trail Tale displays accurate turn-by-turn instructions as well as information about each area that has been put together with the help of local experts. Users of the app can access facts, photos and maps during their walks and some routes featured by TrailTale also have an audio guide so you can listen as you go.
Cllr Sue Shaw, Cabinet Member for Health and Community Well-being at Bassetlaw District Council said: “You can use TrailTale to make your usual walks a little more engaging, by learning about Bassetlaw’s history and heritage whilst on the move. Using TrailTale is a great way for anyone to connect with their surroundings and spend more time outdoors.”
