Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) 

There is still time to apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) if you haven't already done so. Applications will close at 12 noon on Friday 11 March 2022. 

Your business may be eligible for an ARG from Bassetlaw District if:

• Your business operates in the direct supply chain of businesses in the hospitality, leisure or accommodation sectors that are eligible to receive OHLG or your business is in the personal care sector. Please refer to the tables below that provide details on the types of businesses you will supply goods and services to that are eligible for support through OHLG. Guidance for businesses that trade in the personal care sector will be taken from annex C in the Restart Grant guidance which are listed below.
• Your business was trading and occupies a property in Bassetlaw District Council non-domestic rating list on which you pay business rates (or is in receipt of Small Business Rates Relief) on 30 December 2021.
• Your business employs fewer than 50 employees. This is based on total employee numbers in the company and not by individual site.
• Your business isn’t insolvent or in administration.
• Your business is not eligible to receive a grant under the OHLG scheme
• Your business hasn’t exceed the Covid-19 Business Grant Subsidy Allowance

Grant amounts are based on the rateable value of properties as at 30 December 2021.

• Under £15k - £1,000
• Between £15k and £51K - £1,500
• Over £51k - £2,300

Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant

Are you eligible for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) and haven't applied yet? Applications for the one-off payment of up to £6,000 per property will close at 12.30pm on Friday 18 March 2022 in order to meet the closing date set by Government.

Eligibility

Your business may be eligible for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant if it:

• Is a hospitality, leisure or accommodation business
• Is reliant on delivering in-person services in the hospitality, leisure or accommodation sectors
• Was trading and occupies a property in Bassetlaw on which it pays business rates (or is in receipt of Small Business Rates Relief) on 30 December 2021
• Hasn’t exceeded the Covid-19 Business Grant Subsidy Allowance

Business Investment Fund

The D2N2 Growth Hub is able to offer grants to eligible businesses via our Business Investment Fund. The Business Investment Fund forms part of the D2N2 Growth Hub offer, which exists to help businesses find the support they need to grow and evolve. The Business Investment Fund allows the Growth Hub to offer direct support to SMEs to achieve their aspirations for growth. This fund will see a total of £9m of funding invested into the D2N2 economy between 2019 and 2023. Grants are available to fund 30% of the total project cost (excluding VAT). The minimum grant available is £3,000 and the maximum grant is £30,000. You will be expected to fund and evidence 100% of the project cost upfront from your own resources. Up to 30% will then be reimbursed to you by way of a grant award. Ultimately, you will have match funded 70% of the total project cost (excluding VAT). All funding decisions will be at the discretion of the Grant Panel. Find out more

Final call to complete the Chamber's Quarterly Economic Survey

The fieldwork for the East Midlands Chamber economic survey for the first quarter of the year is coming to an end and they would really appreciate your support by taking five minutes to complete it.

Since the last survey they have continued to make improvements to how they report these findings back to you – the Q2 2021 report is available to view, and is now more interactive and user friendly.

The survey is open to any organisation based in the East Midlands region and by completing the survey you will be able to download a personalised report reflecting your responses.
