 Remembrance Sunday in Worksop
Bassetlaw District Council is to host a parade for Remembrance Sunday this year on Sunday 14 November from 10:30am to 12pm.
The Parade will ‘form-up’ in the Old Market Square in front of the Town Hall at around 10.10 am under the direction of the Parade Marshall, Sergeant Neil Orton.
The Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, and the Chairman of the Council will then inspect the Parade accompanied by music played by the Worksop Miners’ Welfare Band.
A short wreath laying Service and Act of Remembrance will take place at the War Memorial at approximately 10.45am. The Worksop Salvation Army Band will play ‘The Last Post’ before the two minutes silence at 11.00am followed by the playing of the ‘Reveille’.

The Retford & District Branch of The Royal British Legion supported by Bassetlaw District Council is hosting a service for Remembrance Sunday this year on Sunday 14 November from 10:45am.
The Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Nigel Chapman and Mayor of Retford, Cllr Carolyn Troop will be joining Royal British Legion representatives, cadet units, ex-service associations, the Air Training Corps, Police and Fire Service representatives and voluntary organisations at the War Memorial in Retford Market Square.
A short wreath laying Service and Act of Remembrance will take place at the War Memorial from approximately 10.45am before the two minutes silence at 11.00am. The service will be led by Canon Dick Lewis of St Swithun’s Church, East Retford.
Members of the public are also invited to attend a short service of remembrance on Thursday 11th November in Retford Market Square, commencing at 10.45am, prior to joining the National Silence at 11am.

A Remembrance Service led by the vicar of All Saints Church, Nicky Skipworth will take place at the War Memorial, Harworth, starting at 11am on 14 November.
