Important information on Business Grants
The application process for the Government’s second wave of Business Support, for businesses that have been affected when entering Tier 2, Tier 3 and National Lockdown restrictions will go live at 9am on Thursday 12th November.
The application period will run until 5pm on 11th December 2020.
We need your support in order for the Council to be able to efficiently and promptly process the grant applications and payments. You can do this by carefully reading the following information and ensuring that all the necessary details are included with your application.
Forms submitted without the correct or required information could result in your application being rejected and you having to reapply.
The Grants
The following grants are available.
Grant support is limited to business sectors that have been very adversely affected by local and national restrictions. For example customer facing businesses impacted by the introduction of restrictions on social mixing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 as well as having to legally close during Tier 3 and the national lockdown. Businesses that have set up a click and collect service and restaurants providing a takeaway service since the national lockdown started will still be able to claim grants as their substantive business has had to close.
If your business does not meet the grant eligibility criteria please use the Government Coronavirus Business Support Finder to identify other support that might be available to you https://www.gov.uk/business-coronavirus-support-finder
