Women with exciting innovative ideas who will inspire others can apply for an award which includes a £50,000 grant and bespoke business support. This competition is open to single applicants only.
To lead a project, you must be a woman founder, co-founder or senior decision maker within a UK registered micro or small and medium-sized enterprise business that has been operating for at least one year by the competition closing date.
Small-medium sized businesses can apply for £50,000 of funding for scale-up of existing or development of new work on inclusive innovations. Funding is for developing innovations which centre on equality, diversity and inclusion in their design and development.
This funding is from Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency. They support business-led innovation across all sectors, technologies and regions.
There are a limited amount of 100% funded grants between £1-£2k through the South East Business Boost (SEBB), for businesses registered in the last 12 months. The business must be trading and have an existing business offer i.e., a product or service to sell. It would need to be shown that the items purchased using the grant will assist in growing the business.
The main goal of the programme is to support businesses with the introduction of new to firm products and services, the creation of full time jobs and to provide growth for new enterprises that show promising growth in their first few months.
