As we look forward to Christmas, we present this special Christmas poem for you to enjoy:
In Penistone’s hills where the views are grand,
We’ve worked together with a helping hand.
From summer fun for families galore,
To benches at Howbrook and Wortley Eco Park to adore.
We’ve cheered on the Film Festival’s very first show,
And watched Greenmoor carols in the winter snow.
The Thurgoland Scarecrow Trail brought smiles so wide,
While Cawthorne’s remembrance filled hearts with pride.
We launched a Repair Café – fixing with flair,
And welcomed volunteers at fairs everywhere.
Awards for heroes who give their time,
Their kindness and spirit truly sublime.
We’ve backed BIADS outreach for those in need,
And planned for safety with school signs agreed.
From health and wellbeing to youth on the go,
Our priorities shine like the Christmas glow.
So here’s to our Volunteers committed and bright,
For making Penistone sparkle with light.
May your Christmas be merry, your New Year bring cheer,
With pride in the progress we’ve made this year!
