Inspectors Praise Arbroath High School’s Strong Progress
Education Scotland recently returned to Arbroath High School and were impressed by the progress made since last year’s inspection.
They praised the clearer leadership, more focused improvement planning and stronger tracking of pupil progress.
Classroom learning is now more engagement and better matched to young people's needs, with them feeling more involved and motivated. There’s a growing culture of ambition across the school. While work on wellbeing is still ongoing, the overall feedback was very positive – a great reflection of everyone’s hard work. Well done to all the staff at Arbroath High School!

New Sensory Garden Opens at Langlands Primary School
Langlands Primary School in Forfar opened its brand-new sensory garden on Monday. This wonderful space was designed and brought to life by School and Pupil Support Assistants, Tracy Davison and Gillian Colquhoun. The garden provides a calm, accessible and inclusive environment where children can engage in a range of sensory experiences.
The children and staff would like to thank Mike from Splash Out Bathrooms for donating a water feature and Richard from Forfar Community Garden for providing a variety of plants. The project was also supported by the Tesco Stronger Starts Grant.
