Planet Youth Parent Information session
The Planet Youth initiative is being piloted in Forfar and Kirriemuir to look at how we can improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people including preventing or delaying substance use.
We’ve some more info sessions running for parents/carers to find out more about the initiative and how they can help:
- Forfar FFFC Clubhouse – 25 March at 6.30pm
- Websters Sports Centre – 27 March at 6.30pm
For information about the project, email planetyouth@angus.gov.uk or visit the webpage.
Footway improvements at Seaview Primary School
We’ve recently completed footway improvements on Victoria Street in Monifieth, at Seaview Primary School.
- Wider and smoother footway – making it easier for parents and carers with pushchairs to get to the primary school.
- Improved accessibility and safety - additional crossing points and dropped kerbs.
- Brighter and safer – fun pencil-shaped bollards highlight the school entrance.
Funded through Transport Scotland's annual grant, dedicated to improving the conditions for walking, wheeling and cycling, this project makes sure it is a safer, more enjoyable journey to school for everyone!

 #WelcomeToYourVote
Welcome to Your Vote Week 2025 is all about supporting young people to get informed and involved in local democracy.
Do you know a young person or child interested in learning more about elections, voting, who represents them or exploring the issues that matter most to them? They can find out more on the Electoral Commissions website.
They might also find it helpful to listen to Eva, a member of Children in Scotland, part of the Electoral Commission's youth voice network, in this short video talking about what Welcome to Your Vote Week means to her.
