The School Friendly Zones in Phases 1 & 2 agreed at committee are now permanent!
This initiative keeps our school zones safer for children and families by restricting vehicle access to certain streets around the schools (except for emergency services, medical staff, carers attending patients, school staff, residents with permits, and blue badge holders) during term time mornings and afternoons.
Phase 1 schools:
- Muirfield PS, Arbroath (Timbergreens side only)
- Langlands PS, Forfar
- Ferryden PS, Montrose
Phase 2 schools:
- Carlogie PS, Carnoustie
- Letham PS
- Liff PS
Thank you for helping us keep our school zones safer for everyone!
There is information about the zones, applying for a school friendly zone permit and enforcement of the restrictions on our website.

The consultation is open until Thursday 6 February. You can have your say on our Engage Angus platform. You can also complete the online tool in libraries or a paper version is available on request from libraries.
