Decorating a Christmas tree, playing in the snow, handing out presents, meeting Santa, these moments aren’t just memories – they’re the building blocks of a child's future.
For children and young people who can’t stay with their own families, foster carers and adopters play a vital role in creating these meaningful experiences. From small, everyday moments to big milestones, you can help them build memories that shape their confidence, dreams and future.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a foster carer or adopting, get in touch and we'll send you an information pack or answer any questions you may have:
Meet Kiri
Comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean and her partner had always envisioned having a family but knew having biological children wasn’t the right path for them.
One day they were driving home and heard an advert calling for new foster carers on the local radio. This kick-started their fostering journey and now they provide short breaks to care experienced young people.
The Fostering Network talked to Kiri about her life as a foster carer and the best fostering advice she’s ever had.
