Who is this creature with terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws? It's the Gruffalo!
Children and staff at Auchterhouse Primary were buzzing last week when author, Julia Donaldson visited the primary school to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of The Gruffalo.
Julia first visited the school in the 1995/96 to introduce her then unpublished story of The Gruffalo to pupils. After a great response from the children, she dedicated the book to the school.
Guests invited along to the school included the ex-head teacher Sheila McCallum and former pupils from Julia’s original visit. Julia treated the children and guests to a short talk and a performance and gave each child a signed 25th anniversary edition of the book.
