With schools finishing up on Thursday 29 June for the summer break, Convenor of Children and Learning, Cllr Lynne Devine has a message for all the children, young people, teachers and staff at our schools.
“As we approach the end of the school term, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible efforts and achievements of our children, teachers and schools throughout the year. It has been a year filled with hard work, dedication and remarkable progress.
“I must recognise the determination of our young people who have studied hard for their exams and I look forward to seeing the results this August. To our school leavers, I wish you all the best for your future as you embark on your journey into the world of work or further education.
“It will be lovely to welcome our new P1s when they join us in August for the first time. This is a significant milestone for both children and their families but I know our teachers and support staff will make this transition go as smoothly as possible.
“I want to thank all the teachers and staff who have gone above and beyond to provide quality education, guidance and support to children and young people in Angus, when it has remained a difficult time post-Covid. Your dedication to unlocking their full potential is truly commendable.
“I hope you all take the opportunity to rest, recharge and have a wonderful summer break, hopefully with some of that good weather again."
- Convenor of Children and Learning Cllr Lynne Devine
