Amey has confirmed that road safety improvements will take place on the A90 as traffic approaches Swallow Roundabout in Dundee from Monday, 19 June to Wednesday, 21 June.
A 24-hour lane closure will be in place to allow the installation of a safety barrier at Fowlis Junction located 1.2 miles west of the A90 Swallow Roundabout.
The safety improvements, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will benefit 21,000 vehicles who use this route each day.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will require a 24-hour closure of lane one on the A90 travelling towards Dundee and the closure of the C12 Benvie to Fowlis Road.
Lane one on the A90 will be closed from 364m west of Fowlis Junction to 20m east of Fowlis Junction.
The closures are scheduled to be in place from 9am on Monday, 19June until 5pm on Wednesday, 21 June.
Due to the closure of the C12 Benvie to Fowlis Road, a diversion route will be in place for those who normally use this route to access the A90.
Traffic should follow Kirk Road on to Fowlis Road before turning right on to Church Road. Traffic can then travel on Church Road to the junction with Dykes of Gray Road and follow this route until they reach the A90 Swallow Roundabout.
This route can be followed in reverse to access the C12 Benvie to Fowlis Road from the A90.
All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
A free Road Work Alerts service is available from Amey's website. An email address is all that is required to sign up for the service.
