School’s out…until Monday 18 October!

Schools and our term time early learning and childcare settings close from Monday 4 October to Friday 15 October.

Ideas to keep the kids busy during the holidays

Free bus travel From 2 to 17 October, we're providing free bus travel throughout Angus (and to and from Dundee) for: all children under 12 accompanied by one adult young people aged 12 to 22 who have a National Entitlement/Young Scot Card. You'll get a digital bus pass via school group call. Information about transport for families unable to use buses.

Activities for families with children with additional support needs

Visit our October holiday 2021 webpage to find out about activities available during the holidays. It includes days out, walks, access to a sensory room, rugby sessions, plus lots more.

Fire station open days Kirriemuir, Carnoustie and Arbroath Fire Stations will be open at various times during the first week of the school holidays, giving you the chance to meet your local fire fighters, have a look at fire engines and get some fire safety advice. ANGUSalive activities 

ANGUSalive is running a range of activities including:

• walks enjoying the Angus Glens
• paddleboarding
• conservation activities such as adventure week, wild about wildlife and nature ninjas
• art workshops for budding artists
• craft or book illustration workshops
• bookbug sessions, including Friockheim and Letham Parks
• term time favourites such as football, gymnastics and trampolining

All activities will follow the relevant Covid safety requirements. Visit their website to view and book October activities.
