On February 18th, 2025, Workforce Solutions and Amarillo College held an award event to recognize individuals that participated in the WSP CCS scholarship program and earned a certification or degree in ECE. The event also recognized the ten individuals that were awarded the ECE STARS Wage Supplement Program.
Five individuals were recognized for completing their Provider Certification. Seven individuals were recognized for completing their Administrator Certification. Seven individuals were recognized for completing their Associate Degree in ECE.
The recognized individuals work at the following programs: Amarillo College Medi Park Campus Hagy Center for Young Child, Bizzy Bees Child care and Preschool, Child Development Center Pampa, Child Development Center Polk, Community Day Care Center, Community Day Care Site III, Friendship Ranch Child Development Center, Imagination Station, Opportunity School, Opportunity School Edwards Campus, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Rock Star Daycare Preschool, Texas Premier, Tulia CDC, and Will Rogers Learning Center.
Scholarship applications for Spring II are due March 3rd.

Imagination Station is a Licensed Center located in Amarillo, Texas with a total capacity of 205 children and serves birth to school age children. Samantha Long is the Director. The program has 16 full time staff members and 12 open classrooms.
The program had their Recertification and retained a 4 Star Texas Rising Star Certification.

Little Nest CDC LLC is a Licensed Center located in Amarillo, Texas. They are licensed for 131 children and accept children birth to school age. The director, and owner is Elena McGlaun. The program has 16 full time staff members with 8 open classrooms.
The program had their Recertification and earned a 4 Star Texas Rising Star Certification. Tiffany Lewis is the Mentor.
