Employee Wellness
Employee wellness is important to a company and even more so to a program working with young children and families. A wellness program can benefit your company and staff by increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, lower healthcare cost, improved morale, enhanced work life balance, increased employee retention and improved employer reputation.
First start with a Staff Wellness Acton Plan
- Identify the Team
- Collect Data About the Program’s Wellness Interests and Needs
- Create Staff Wellness Goals
- Put Ideas into Action
Employees also have to be able to be proactive in making Wellness a priority. By knowing what signs of stress are for them along with learning to take care of themselves and developing an individualized action plan and sharing the plan with managers and peers.
Mindfulness is another important part of Wellness.
Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.
Adult Recess for your Wellness Journey!
One of the most fun ways adults can practice and increase their own emotional regulation is through play. Adult Recess is a series of animated videos that support participants in moving their bodies in mindful ways to promote and practice regulation skills. Each video guides participants in a warm-up, a game, and an ending reflection. Play alone, in a group, or with children!

He, along with the school board, decided to use the resources of Spearman ISD and Hansford County Hospital District and open a state certified childcare center.
