With the end of Covid Relief Funding and other grants, childcare businesses may need to look at other ways to raise revenue without having to raise already high tuition rates. Here are some suggestions; (*Some suggestions may need your program to check with local ordinances and your Child Care Licensing Inspector.)  

• Rent space out on evenings and weekends: Does your facility have space to rent out for meetings or birthday spaces? Is the location of your facility near a place that may need additional parking so that you can rent out your parking lot during off hours?
• Creating Digital Products: This could be parenting or teacher training courses, eBooks, and even stock images.
• Photography: If you aren’t good at photography have a partnership with a photographer and split the profit/cost. Take those holiday pictures, set up a background and props for holiday pictures.
• Merchandise: Does your business have a unique logo, you can use a site like Shopify and create company merchandise, this could be used as a fundraising opportunity also.

• Enrichment classes: Could you partner with a local person or business to host art or music classes and other types of classes and split profit/costs.
• Babysitting and or Nanny Services: Could you hire and train staff that could provide babysitting services in the family’s home.
• Affiliate Links: Look at the websites of your favorite products and the company most likely has an affiliate link, add these links to your website, emails, or blogs.
• Parent’s Night Out: Could you host a parent’s night out at your program or in partnership with a local business.
• Raffles: Raffle off donated items or services.
• Child Yearbooks: Take pictures of the children throughout the year and put them together at the end of the year to create a photo book/collage for your parents to purchase.
• Summer Camps: Does your program have extra space in the summer that you could host a summer camp for children near your location.
