Memorial Day Holiday Observance

The Woodlands Township invites residents to attend the annual Memorial Day in The Woodlands event on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Town Green Park. The Town Center Trolleys will operate extended hours on Sunday, May 24, from noon to 10 p.m. for the event.

In observance of Memorial Day, all Township offices and both recreation centers will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026. The Woodlands Express bus service will also not operate that day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

Facilities open on Memorial Day include Riva Row Boat House, Lakes Edge Boat House, Texas TreeVentures and the Town Center Trolleys.

Trash and recycling services will not be interrupted and will operate on their normal schedule on Monday, May 25. 

Waterway Nights Summer Series 

Join the Township for live music and great vibes every Saturday night starting May 30 through June 27, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. at 31 Waterway Square Place. This lively FREE event, hosted by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, offers the perfect setting for a fun night out! Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.  

Regular Pool Season Starts May 23

Summer starts at the pool! Regular pool season at The Woodlands Township begins May 23 and runs through August 11, 2026. With 14 Township pools, six spraygrounds and pool rentals available, there are plenty of ways to stay cool and make a splash all summer long. Season Pool Passes are on sale now, making it easy to skip the lines and dive straight into the fun. Grab your family and friends and get ready for an unforgettable summer in The Woodlands! BIKE THE WOODLANDS

Whether they’re riding bikes, walking to the park or crossing the street to visit friends, it’s important for drivers to slow down, stay alert and take a second look, especially on neighborhood streets and near pathways.

We encourage everyone to do their part to help keep our community safe. A little extra caution behind the wheel can make a big difference for the children, families and neighbors enjoying summer.
