Pools Open For Pre-Season May 9
Splash into summer early! Township pools open for pre-season fun this Saturday, May 9, with select pools available through May 22. Alden Bridge Pool is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. (closed Mondays). For weekend splash spots, nine pools, including Alden Bridge, Bear Branch, Cranebrook, Forestgate, Harper’s Landing, Ridgewood, Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, Sawmill and Wendtwoods, are open Saturdays (noon to 6 p.m.) and Sundays (1 to 6 p.m.).
The full pool season runs May 23 through August 11, with post-season swimming through September 7. Skip the lines and grab your season pass now for access to all Township pools. Visit thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/pools or stop by a recreation center to get started.
Soccer Shuttle Service
Skip the traffic and step straight into the excitement! The Woodlands Township, in partnership with Visit The Woodlands, First Class Transportation and the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), is rolling out the Soccer Shuttle, your hassle-free ride from The Woodlands to Houston Stadium (NRG) for FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride with no parking stress and no navigating game-day traffic. The Soccer Shuttle runs on all Houston match days, offering convenient round-trip service straight to the stadium so you can focus on the energy, the crowd and the match. This exclusive service is available to fans with a valid FIFA World Cup 2026™ match ticket. Advance reservations are required, and riders must show proof of their ticket to board. Walk-ups and standard Express bus passes will not be accepted, so be sure to plan ahead.
Shuttle reservations are free, thanks to support from H-GAC’s Commute Solutions initiative. A non-refundable administrative fee of $8.50, plus processing fees, will apply at booking. Three departure spots to choose from: The Woodlands Resort, Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing, and Sawdust Park and Ride.

Ready to upgrade your ride? Join the Bike Swap this Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at Northshore Park. Buy, sell or trade bikes and gear while connecting with fellow cyclists. Browse vendors offering bikes, parts and accessories, or visit the swap corral to trade in your bike (as available) and find a better fit. Free bike inspections are provided with corral exchanges, along with expert advice and educational resources.
