National Bike Month
May is National Bike Month, and The Woodlands Township is celebrating with a variety of activities and events throughout the month. In partnership with the Bike The Woodlands Coalition, the Township is hosting a dynamic lineup of rides, workshops, competitions and community events, all designed to inspire residents to get outside and experience The Woodlands on two wheels!
The highlight of the month is Bike The Woodlands Day, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center. This signature event invites residents to gather for a celebration of all things cycling. Whether attending by bike, foot or car, participants can meet local bike experts and enthusiasts representing a variety of cycling styles, including mountain biking, triathlon riding, hybrids and cruisers. Resident Survey Closes Soon
The Woodlands Township is conducting a resident survey to gather feedback on services and community priorities. Your feedback truly matters in shaping planning and budgeting decisions. If you receive the survey, please take a few minutes to respond.
This scientifically valid survey is mailed every two years to a random sample of 10,000 households. If it arrives in your mailbox, please have one adult (18+) complete it using the unique link or QR code provided. The survey is distributed by mail only and will never ask for financial information. The survey closes on Tuesday, May 5, so don’t delay, respond today!
 Strategic Planning Workshop
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a strategic planning workshop May 15, with a primary focus on shaping the budget. The workshop offers an important opportunity for the Board to discuss long-term priorities, evaluate emerging needs and set a financial course that supports the continued success of our community. These discussions also help ensure that every dollar is spent with purpose, aligned with the values that make The Woodlands such a distinctive and well-regarded place to live.
