Respect the Path by Watching for Wheels
As part of its yearly National Night Out campaign, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services Department continues Project 365. This year’s focus is on safe pathway use through the Respect the Path campaign. Each month’s theme covers a new topic. April’s focus, Watch for Wheels, encourages people to use proper pathway etiquette for safe shared use for all. Cyclists should announce themselves by calling out, “On your left!” while slowing down and riding on the left side of the path. Walkers and runners should use their eyes and ears to watch for all wheels – bikes on the paths and vehicles at intersections.

 Stay Watchful on Every Walk
Join the Neighborhood Services Department for Yappy Hours to learn how your routine dog walking schedule can enhance our community’s safety! Dog Walker Watch is a crime awareness initiative that invites dog walkers to become watchful walkers by acting as an extra set of eyes and ears for law enforcement. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit or Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 will be onsite to guide walkers on how to be more aware of surroundings by effectively observing and identifying suspicious activity to report.
- Tuesday, April 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Terramont Dog Park
- Wednesday, April 22 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Rob Fleming Dog Park
- Thursday, April 23 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Cattail Dog Park
