 Safely Dispose of Personal Documents
Residents of The Woodlands are invited to take part in Shred Day on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon at Sterling Ridge Park & Ride. This one-day event offers a convenient and secure way to dispose of personal documents, helping to protect against identity theft. In addition to safeguarding privacy, Shred Day supports environmental sustainability by keeping paper waste out of landfills. Residents can drive through and drop off documents for shredding – there is no need to leave your vehicle.

Prevent Cooking Fires This Thanksgiving
In the United States, 1,600 turkey fryer fires occur each year. Avoid turning your turkey into a torch this Thanksgiving by watching the video below that includes tips provided by The Woodlands Fire Department.
 Limit Parking on Residential Streets
With increased visitors due to holiday gatherings, residents need to be mindful of street parking as it can have an impact on response time for emergency vehicles.
Average resident streets in The Woodlands are between 22 to 24 feet wide. An average vehicle is approximately 6.5 feet wide and emergency vehicles, school buses and garbage trucks are between 8 to 9 feet wide. We urge residents to consider room for all types of vehicles to safely pass through.
Please avoid parking in the street so first responders can respond to emergencies as quickly as possible.
