Board Approves 2025 Tax Rate

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, September 4, 2025, where the fiscal year 2026 budget was adopted preceding a public hearing on the proposed 2025 property tax rate. The Board approved the tax rate of 17.14 cents per $100 of taxable value, maintaining the same property tax rate as 2024. Shakespeare in the Park

Join us for a special evening at the 10th Anniversary of Shakespeare in the Park on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Rob Fleming Park. Enjoy a live outdoor theatre performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Points North Theatre Company, with pre-show music by The Woodlands Symphony Brass lead by Darryl Bayer beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, friends and family for a magical night of theatre! Concessions will be on site for purchase. Arrive early for a limited-edition 10th Anniversary Shakespeare in the Park giveaway while supplies last! The performance will begin at 6 p.m.

DRIVER SAFETY AT INTERSECTIONS

Accidents happen in an instant. Drivers should always approach intersections with caution. Our pathways cross busy streets, and the tree screen that makes The Woodlands beautiful can also limit your view of riders and walkers.

Even with a green light, look carefully before moving through an intersection. Pathway users may appear suddenly, and your awareness can prevent tragedy.

Respect the path, stay alert and give pedestrians, joggers and cyclists the right of way.

Please remember that motorized devices such as electric bikes and scooters are not permitted on The Woodlands Township pathways. While use has increased, the Township does not encourage or endorse the operation of these devices on pathways. Help us promote safety, awareness and respect for all users.

Yes. A permit is required if you are repairing, altering, adding to, relocating, or rebuilding eight feet or more of a fence or gate.

Additionally, a fee applies if the fence is being constructed around a pool, spa or pond. Please note that The Township does not determine which property owner is responsible for the cost of fence construction.
