Working Together to Keep Our Neighborhoods Safe & Secure
As part of the annual National Night Out Campaign, this year's Project 365 theme is Aware & Prepared, focused on keeping community partnerships strong through encouraging residents to work together to keep our neighborhoods safe and secure. Each month throughout the year, the Neighborhood Services Department centralizes its efforts on focus areas to expand upon the Project 365 theme. July 2025 features House Number Visibility.
 Help First Responders Help You!
Visible curb and house numbers are critical to ensure a timely response from first responders when mere seconds matter most. Delays can be caused by unclear or missing numbers, leading to life threatening consequences. In addition to helping visitors and delivery drivers in locating your home, clearly marked addresses improve neighborhood security by assisting patrol officers and service providers when working in your area.
Connect with Neighbors & Strengthen the Community
Neighbors knowing neighbors is at the heart of a safe, connected community. For more than 40 years, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch program has helped build strong neighborhoods through education, outreach and a shared sense of responsibility. When neighbors take the time to get to know one another, they create a foundation of trust and awareness that enhances safety and quality of life.
Neighborhood Watch serves as a resident ambassador program, empowering volunteers to represent their neighborhoods by sharing public safety information, welcoming new residents and building relationships with local law enforcement and Township staff. The program is easy to join and designed for all residents - whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years.
Neighborhood Watch doesn’t involve patrols or enforcement – it’s about awareness, communication and partnership. When neighbors are informed and connected, the entire community benefits.
