July is Parks and Recreation Month
The Woodlands Township proudly joins communities across the country in celebrating Parks and Recreation Month this July, as designated by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This year’s theme, “Build Together, Play Together,” recognizes the critical role park and recreation professionals play in fostering vibrant, healthy and resilient communities.
The Woodlands Township encourages all residents to explore the parks, pathways and recreational programs that make our community exceptional. To learn more about how our Parks and Recreation team helps make our community a great place to live, watch Branches of Impact, a video highlighting the impact of parks and recreation in The Woodlands.
Let’s build together, play together—and celebrate the people and places that make The Woodlands a great place to live, work and play.
Celebrate Safely: Leave Fireworks to the Pros
As a reminder, the discharge of fireworks in The Woodlands is prohibited. With our community nestled in a natural forest, personal fireworks can pose a serious fire and safety risk to people, homes, trees and green spaces. Let’s help keep our neighborhoods safer and leave the fireworks to the professionals. Celebrate with your neighbors at one of five locations for the Fireworks Extravaganza during the Red, Hot & Blue Festival—a night full of sparkle, music and community spirit!
