Shred Day is April 19
Residents of The Woodlands are invited to participate in a special one-day collection event to protect their privacy and help divert waste from landfills. Shred Day will take place this Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands.
The Township is offering this secure and contactless service to ensure residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents. This event provides a convenient and responsible way to protect personal data, while also contributing to environmental sustainability. Documents are shredded on-site.
 The Great Texas Birding Classic
The Great Texas Birding Classic is the largest birdwatching tournament in the state—and this year, The Woodlands Township is in on the action! The Township team is competing in the ‘Big Sit’ category and will be at The Lookout Bird blind at the George Mitchell Nature Preserve on Saturday, May 3, from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. documenting as many birds as they can see and hear.
Community members of all ages are invited to join the fun. No birding experience needed! Friendly and knowledgeable team members will be there to help. Bring a lawn chair and binoculars—or borrow a pair on site—and enjoy a peaceful morning surrounded by nature and feathered friends.
