The Woodlands Triathlon

The 20th Anniversary of The Woodlands Triathlon will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Northshore Park at 7 a.m. As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, The Woodlands Triathlon, produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, offers a beginner-friendly atmosphere, first-rate race management and scenic courses. The annual race is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event and will feature a field of 800 participants ranging from beginners to nationally ranked triathletes. The event culminates with a festive awards party featuring live music, great food, beverages and more!

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide nonprofit dedicated to environmental and community improvement, has once again recognized The Woodlands Township as a Gold Star Affiliate. This marks the fourth consecutive year The Woodlands Township has earned this prestigious distinction, highlighting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Gold Star Affiliates are leaders in their communities, inspiring change, engaging volunteers, and implementing projects that make a lasting impact. The Woodlands Township is honored with Gold Star status for their outstanding efforts.

Township Holiday Hours

The Woodlands Township offices and both Recreation Centers—Bear Branch Park and Rob Fleming Park will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025, in observance of the holiday.

Bear Branch Park and Rob Fleming Park will resume normal weekend hours, operating on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Sunday.

Texas TreeVentures will be open on Friday and Saturday from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be closed on Easter Sunday.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Trash and recycle carts must stored out of view at ground level from any public or private property, street and neighbors. The best locations are in a garage or behind your solid wood fence. If you do not have a solid fence, other acceptable enclosures can include dense natural evergreen vegetation or approved manufactured custom screens.

All screens must be compatible with the home’s materials and colors and may not exceed 6 feet in height (plus 6 inches for a rot board). If using lattice, please include evergreen plants to soften the view.

Trash and Recycle cart enclosures/screens are preapproved (no permit needed) if they comply with The Woodlands Residential Development Standards. For more information, please visit our website or contact the Covenant Administration Department at 281-210-3800.
